Tip of the Month - July

Always use caution when you are buying oil for your Polaris vehicles.  If you use the incorrect oil, you can actually damage your engine and/or drive train.  Not all oils are the same, so be sure to verify that the oil you're buing is the correct one for the job.  If you have any questions, give us a call and we'll help you pick out the right one!

Tip of the Month - June

With the summer days getting hotter, make sure the radiators on your ATV or Side X Side are clean.  Dirty radiators prevent air from cooling your engine, which can result in overheating.  How do you prevent this problem?  Wash off your radiator with the garden hose.  Make sure to get all of the corners clean of dubris.  This is especially important if you've been riding through mud or dusty roads and trails.  Keep the radiator clean to avoid overheating this summer!

Tip of the Month - May

Most people know it is standard to change your engine oil evey 1,000 miles.  But, many people forget about transmisssion and front/rear pumpkin (housing) oil changes.  Remember to make sure these are changed also!  If you ride in extreme conditions like mud, snow, ice or in extreme heat or cold, you should have these changed MORE often.  Call today to schedule your routine oil change!

Tip of the Month - April

Spring is here! It’s time to check your air filter for mouse damage. If the sunlight shines through it—it is good. For filters with no clamp, you will need to be grease the inner flange. If you are unsure whether your air filter needs to be replaced or not, give us a call and we can help you out.

Tip of the Month - March

When replacing drive belts on all ATVs, Rangers, and snowmobiles, always remember to put them on so you can read the writing (numbers) because the belts are directional. Also, remember that some belts have 40 mile break-in periods where you SHOULD NOT go wide open!

Tip of the Month - February

REMEMBER!

Do you leave your snowmobile outside overnight or for long periods of time between riding, like stopping to eat?  Your track is warm when you shut off your snowmobile, so the snow will melt and then freeze your snowmobile to the ground.  Rembember to always lift your snowmobiles--from both the ski end and the track end to loosen it from the snow.  You may even want to bounce it to break up any ice.  Lifting the sled from the front and the back and loosening the track will save you from ruining your belt!
